Working with the local council we created a masterplan for new homes on the Regent’s Park Estate. The properties are be for residents who lost their previous homes as a result of the HS2 development.

The scheme provides 122 new homes across 8 sites along with the refurbishment of the Camden People’s Theatre and conversion of upper floors into flats.

The masterplan demonstrates how empty or underused sites can be used for new homes whilst also improving the urban setting and contributing enhanced public realm and amenity, thereby enriching the lives of both the new and the existing residents.

With resident consultation throughout the design process, we were able to respond to their specific needs whilst refining the scheme to deliver cost effective, robust and sustainable design within a tight budget and create positive social impact.

Completed buildings by Mæ include Caudale, Kirkfell and Kentmere; the other sites have been designed by Matthew LLoyd Architects.

Caudale wins RIBA National Award 2021 Project Update

Caudale, part of our Regent's Park Estate scheme for the London Borough of Camden has won a RIBA London National Award 2021.

A RIBA National Award is given to a building across the UK recognised as a significant contribution to architecture.

Caudale provides high quality replacement housing for residents due to be displaced by the path of HS2.

Caudale shortlisted for RIBA Regional Awards 2020 Project Update

Caudale, part of our Regent's Park Infill Sites scheme, has been shortlisted for an RIBA Regional Award. The project provides high quality replacement housing for local residents displaced by the path of High Speed 2 in the Regent's Park area.

The RIBA been celebrating outstanding work for over 180 years. Their awards and prizes are regarded internationally as a mark of excellence, recognising the best architecture, architects, and research.

Winners will be announced later in the year.

Regent's Park Infill Sites shortlisted for RICS Social Impact Awards Project Update

Our Regent's Park Infill Sites scheme has been shortlisted for a RICS Social Impact Award.

The project demonstrates how empty or underused sites can be used for new homes whilst improving the public realm and amenity, enriching the lives of both the new and the existing residents.

The RICS Social Impact Awards recognise examples of where the built environment has had a direct positive social and environmental impact on society.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in June.

Regent's Park Infill Sites shortlisted for the Inside Housing Development Awards Project Update

Regent's Park Infill Sites has been shortlisted for the Inside Housing Development Awards in the 'Best Regeneration Project' category.

This category recognises a completed regeneration project that has turned a place around and created more homes and opportunities to meet housing need, making a difference to employment, health and education.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London in November.

Caudale shortlisted for the British Homes Awards Project Update

Caudale, part of our Regent's Park Infill Sites scheme has been shortlisted for the Sunday Times British Homes Awards in the Small Development of the Year category.

Caudale comprises 8 dwellings, 3 townhouses and 5 apartments, alongside a new public garden. The homes created are generous in size responding to the needs of their inhabitants.

The British Homes Awards honour every aspect of housebuilding from one-off houses to major developments, interiors to landscaping, individual extensions to placemaking on a grand scale.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in September.

Regent's Park Infill Sites and Brentford Lock West Phase 2 shortlisted for the New London Architecture Awards 2019 Project Update

Our Regent's Park Infill Sites and Brentford Lock West Phase 2 schemes have been shortlisted for the New London Architecture Awards 2019 in the Housing Category.

Both projects will appear in the New London Architecture exhibition and publication showcasing the capital’s very best new architecture, planning and development as selected by an international jury .

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London in July.

We are currently featured in New London Architecture's research report 'Public Housing: A London Renaissance' with our Regent’s Park Estate scheme.

The research explores the resurgence taking place in the provision of new public housing and the report showcases exemplars of design quality, innovation in delivery and community engagement which are making a positive contribution to public housing delivery in London.

Regent's Park Infill Sites shortlisted for Housing Design Awards 2019 Project Update

We are delighted that Regent's Park Infill Sites has been shortlisted for the Housing Design Awards 2019 as part of a joint submission with Matthew Lloyd Architects, whom we collaborated with on the masterplan.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony held in July in London.

Regent's Park Infill Sites and Brentford Lock West Phase 2 shortlisted for RIBA London Regional Awards 2019 Project Update

We're delighted that both our Regent's Park Infill Sites and Brentford Lock West Phase 2 projects have been shortlisted for the RIBA London Regional Awards 2019.

Regent's Park Infill Sites creates new high quality homes for local residents displaced by the path of HS2; Brentford Lock West Phase 2 consists of two blocks delivered in phases and responds sensitively to the surrounding wharf architecture.

The shortlisted schemes, which were chosen from 200 entries, will be visited by a jury throughout March and April with the winners announced at an awards ceremony at the RIBA towards the end of May.

Regent's Park Estate shortlisted for the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence 2019 Project Update

Regent's Park Estate has been shortlisted for the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence 2019 in the 'Excellence in Planning to Deliver Homes - Large Schemes (50 or more homes)' category.

The Regent's Park Estate project delivers 116 homes and significant public realm improvements within three years to replace homes lost to works connected with HS2.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in central London on 24 April 2019.

Mæ appointed for Regent's Park housing project Project Update

Mæ has been competitively selected to design new housing across the Regent's Park Estate for the London Borough of Camden. The housing is designed to manage the impact of High Speed Two (HS2), which puts 215 existing homes at risk. The HS2 replacement homes aim to deliver sensitive infill development whilst enhancing the public realm of the estate.
