We have been working with the local council to create high quality new homes on the Regent’s Park Estate for residents who are due to lose their current homes as a result of the HS2 development.
Designed in collaboration with Matthew Lloyd Architects the scheme will provide 122 new homes across 8 sites along with the refurbishment of the Camden People’s Theatre and conversion of upper floors into flats.
With resident consultation throughout the design process, we were able to respond to their specific needs whilst refining the scheme to deliver cost effective, robust and sustainable design within a tight budget.
Designed with an understanding of the character of the 1950s neighbourhood, the new buildings are conceived as simple volumes, positioned to align with their context. Façades and material choice draw from the estate buildings with their chequerboard pattern elevations, as well as the more historic buildings surrounding the estate.
