We have designed 84 high quality homes on Knight's Walk as part of an ambitious Estate Regeneration programme being brought forward by Homes for Lambeth on behalf of Lambeth Council.

The scheme has been developed through close working with the local community, providing new homes for existing and new residents. Our design builds on the legacy of George Finch’s work at Cotton Gardens who designed dwellings to suit different lifestyles and facilities that enriched the overall sense of community. Our scheme completes a new urban block containing a wide variety of dwelling types and tenures.

The building bridges between the more historic context to the north and the highly regarded Cotton Gardens Estate to the south west and reaches 7 stories along Kennington Lane.

The new buildings step carefully along their length to create a varied building frontage that supports interaction along Knight's Walk and makes the most of the open views towards the park and play space. The highly articulated façades and roofline echoes Finch’s work.

Knight's Walk wins LABC Building Excellence London Regional Awards Project Update

Great news as Knight's Walk, affordable housing in Lambeth has been awarded LABC Building Excellence London Regional Winner within the 'Best Medium Volume New Housing Development' category.

Knight's Walk, completed in 2021, has been designed by Mæ, built by Hill Group UK and brought together for our client at Homes for Lambeth.

The awards itself celebrate achievements in the construction industry, rewarding excellent buildings, outstanding companies, and partnerships and individuals that go that extra mile.

The LABC network covers all local authorities in England and Wales and is split into 12 regions.

Knight's Walk, Mæ's housing scheme in Lambeth is announced as winner of the Construction News Awards 2022, winning the Residential Construction Excellence category.

Judges look for evidence of successful strategy, high-quality schemes and a commitment to local planning, innovation and sustainability.

Knight's Walk shortlisted for the Housing Design Awards 2022 Project Update

The shortlist has recently been announced for the Housing Design Awards 2022, the longest running awards programme since 1948, showcasing innovative residential schemes across the country.

Mæ are proud Knight's Walk, a project for Lambeth Council has been included within the shortlist. Comprising 84 social and sustainable homes just off Kennington Lane, the scheme provides high quality housing for existing and new residents, following extensive and close community consultation.

Two projects shortlisted for the Housing Design Awards 2022 Practice News

The Housing Design Awards shortlist 2022 has recently been announced, a list of innovative and well-designed residential schemes across the UK. Mæ are thrilled, not one but two projects have been included within the list for this year's selection.

Mæ's projects include Knight's Walk, a project consisting of 84 homes for Lambeth Council and Agar Grove 1a & 1b in Camden, a joint scheme with Hawkins/Brown for London Borough of Camden.

The Housing Design Awards’ original purpose was to explain what residents think about innovative design and whether it can be replicated. 72 years later this continues.

Successful planning decision for Knight's Walk project in Lambeth Project Update

Mæ has received unanimous approval at planning committee for our work on Knight’s Walk. Our scheme has been developed through close working with the local community and will provide 84 high quality homes for existing and new residents.

The project forms part of an ambitious Estate Regeneration programme being brought forward by Homes for Lambeth on behalf of Lambeth Council.
