Our scheme for York Road forms a new business and cultural quarter for Maidenhead town centre. The development is designed to accommodate diversity, and to stimulate social, cultural and economic opportunity enhanced by the new Crossrail connection.
The existing town hall and library sit at the heart of the new quarter, representing the cultural and civic life of the town. By focusing on how they can relate to new high quality offices and cultural uses our aim is to create memorable places for work and enjoyment.
We have created a scheme with a strong identity comprising distinct architecture and great public spaces that offer a better everyday life for the residents, workers and visitors to this part of Maidenhead.
Communal gardens and a new public square extend the amenity space for locals and visitors. Landscape is used to enclose space, to frame views and to bring together existing and proposed architecture.
